Chiller Maintenance Checklist

Plan chiller maintenance using the model-specific manual and site operating conditions. A single interval or fixed energy-saving percentage cannot apply to every installation.

Technical assessment

Record entering and leaving liquid temperatures, flow, ambient or condenser-water temperature, alarms and operating hours. Compare readings at similar loads to identify changes that warrant inspection.

Operating conditions and limits

Inspect strainers, heat exchangers, leakage indications and protective functions. Electrical and refrigerant work belongs to qualified personnel using appropriate isolation procedures.

Information needed for selection

Provide the application, operating hours, cooling load, entering and leaving liquid temperatures, fluid type and concentration, flow, site location and environmental conditions. A nominal capacity alone does not replace a detailed equipment selection.

Frequently asked question

Does this guide replace a product performance sheet?

No. It explains selection inputs and technical limits. Confirm the final model, capacity and options through a manufacturer selection at the actual operating conditions.
