Chiller Prices and Quotation Guide
A chiller price depends on the cooling load, leaving water temperature, ambient conditions, condenser type and equipment scope. Two units with the same nominal kW rating can require different components and have different prices. A useful quotation therefore starts with defined operating conditions.
What affects the price?
- Cooling capacity at the specified temperatures and load profile
- Water temperatures, flow and glycol concentration
- Air-cooled or water-cooled heat rejection
- Compressor type, refrigerant circuits and capacity control
- Pump head, tank volume, redundancy and automation
- Transport, installation and commissioning scope
How to compare quotations
Use the same design temperatures, flow, electrical supply and delivery scope. Request the model datasheet, warranty terms and service scope. Capacity and COP figures measured under different conditions are not directly comparable.
Information needed for a quotation
Share the application, installation location, known heat load, entering and leaving water temperatures, flow, fluid composition and ambient or condenser water conditions. If the capacity is unknown, describe the process and available measurements so the selection can be assessed.
Is installation included?
Transport, installation and commissioning are defined in each quotation. Obtain written confirmation of included and excluded work.
